We started Spooligan because we noticed a gap. South African makers — engineers, designers, hobbyists, and students — were relying on imported filament that wasn't always reliable, wasn't always available, and didn't always perform well in our climate.
So we built our own. By manufacturing locally, we control every step of the process — from the raw material blend to the final quality check before a roll is sealed and shipped. The result is filament that's consistent, honest, and made with the South African maker in mind.
